WHAT WE REALLY WANT IN THE NEW YEAR
Hi, Lovelies!!!! It’s a New Year!!
Happy New Year!!!
I’m so grateful to God that we all made it into the new year, 2017 was quite a dynamic year for me and I’m sure it was the same for most of y’all.
2018 is here and it’s that time again.
A new year is a new chance to start over, right your wrongs from previous years, do better, aim higher, dream bigger and LOVE harder!
The last days of my 2017 were spent in bed coz I had a really frustrating fever that kept me tied down, however, I made productive use of that time to mentally evaluate the outgone year and make plans for this one.
While I was reflecting, it dawned on me that in 2017, I did better at things I didn’t really wait for too many people’s opinions on than the ones that I had to wait on people’s approval.
I learnt that once God has given me the go-ahead, I really don’t have to wait for anyone’s nod to get started with the vision God has given me.
So if just like me God has shown you certain things that he wants to birth through you in this new year, first I congratulate you and I’ll say brace yourself and go for it.
If you are yet to set any goals for the year, it’s not too late to plan. They usually say if you fail to plan then it means you plan to fail. Don’t be that guy!
I’m sure you want your 2018 to be an absolutely great year!
Indecisiveness is a dream killer and a time waster, once you are able to make up your mind about what you want, it’s easier to go after it.
Nobody else can get into your head and make decisions as to how you would like to live your life, it’s something you must consciously and intentionally do yourself. Take yourself more seriously in 2018!
You are one of a kind! God’s masterpiece. You are a priceless work of art. Don’t devalue yourself by allowing just anything to happen to you in 2018. Make the right choices, let God lead you and follow his directions.
Whatever dreams or aspirations you have for this year, write them down and tabulate them into goals. Remember your goals should pass the SMART test. Those goals when achieved would make you have a really fulfilled year.
So pursue your goals tenaciously, don’t be like those who make new year resolutions and forget it all by the second week of the new year.
This year more than ever I want to be in charge of my mind, every single thought, action, reaction and behaviour. I don’t make new year resolutions because I believe every day is a new start. However, If I were to have one, my 2018 new year resolution would be to be much more resolute.
So I encourage you to do same, enough of the complaints and victim stories. Determine to succeed this year, MAKE UP your mind.
You have a brand new year now, the time to fill the pages of 365 days with exactly what you want is now!
In your career, relationship, marriage, you have a brand new slate, all you have to do is to make thoughtful decisions that will transport you from where you are to where you want to be.
The kind of lover you want, the kind of home you want, the kind of income you want, the kind of associations you need etc!
Take a stand today that you would ensure your dreams can become a reality before the year ends, regardless of what others are doing.
I pray that every one of your plans according to God’s will for you shall come to fruition and your 2018 shall be your best year yet!
Have a funfilled and purposeful new year!
