As soon as I drove into my compound, Elo called. Hearing his voice was so reassuring that my doubts of about 40 minutes ago vanished instantly, I started making up excuses for him in my head. ‘it must have been a call from his boss’, ‘it must have been a call from his dad’….blahblah blah.

Being over 30 years of age and still single can be pretty difficult for a Nigerian lady. The pressure from society and family can make it almost impossible to live a happy single life.
