TOLU & JIDE : WE JUST KNEW OUR RELATIONSHIP WOULD WORK OUT
Hi Lovelies, it’s yet another true love story!! We have Tolu & Jide this week to share with us how they found love and decided to take it to the next level.
Before we dive in, I want to take a moment to congratulate our LQUEENWRITES couples Gbenga & Kemi and Yemi & Bubu who got tied the knot last week. I rejoice with them for the success of their wedding ceremonies. If you missed out on their stories catch up here.
Back to Tolu & Jide, the Bride to be had a little chit-chat with me about their journey and here’s what she had to say.
HOW DID TOLU & JIDE MEET?
We met about 2 years ago at my place of work. We became very good friends but we didn’t start a relationship until over a year after.
HOW LONG WAS YOUR RELATIONSHIP?
We courted for just 6 months although we have been friends for 2 years.
WAS THERE ANY PROPOSAL?
Well, there wasn’t any serious proposal. We both knew that our relationship would work out and we had marriage as a goal. I specifically told him not to do anything dramatic but he insisted on doing it his own way. One morning he showed up in our house, called all my siblings and told them that I had warned him not to pull any proposal drama but that he still wanted to do it right. He went on his knees and asked me to marry him in the most unexpected way and gave me a wrist watch that I love so much.He didn’t use a ring…LOL
WHAT DO YOU GUYS LIKE ABOUT EACH OTHER?
WOW! We enjoy being around each other. Whenever we have the slightest opportunity we make the best of our time together. We gist make plans, sing and pray together.
HOW DO YOU PICTURE YOUR FUTURE AS A COUPLE?
I see a flourishing future with a joyful and fruitful marriage.
WHAT’S YOUR ADVICE FOR SINGLES STILL WAITING ON GOD FOR THE ONE?
It pays to wait on God. Personally, I have tried several relationships with my own understanding, struggling to make things work but to no avail. When I decided to allow God take the lead and wait on him, he took control and gave me something I didn’t have to struggle for. So I would advise singles out there to patiently wait on God and keep themselves while waiting.
So that’s it guys, simple and straight to the point. Wait on God, don’t try to work things out by force. Let it all happen according to God’s plan. LQUEENWRITES wishes Tolu & Jide a happy married life.
Tolu & Jide are getting married on the 29th of September.
Kindly drop a congratulatory message for them in the comment section.
